No Room at the Inn?

Regular readers of Bondings 2.0  who have been the following the months of controversy surrounding the World Meeting of Families in Dublin taking place this week will recall that two pro-LGBT Catholic organizations, We Are Church Ireland and the Global Network of Rainbow Catholics  (GNRC), had been denied exhibit space at the event.

The reason given to the GNRC when they were denied space was “uncertainties over the amount of space we will have available for exhibitions because of other logistical considerations.”

I’m here in Dublin at the World Meeting of Families, and today I strolled through part of the exhibit hall, and I found these two empty exhibit stall spaces:

It turns out that there was room at the inn for both We Are Church Ireland and the Global Network of Rainbow Catholics, after all!

Looks really empty to me. Too bad a Catholic Group with an important, welcoming message could not fill that space. We all hunger and thirst for Good News.

Someone needs to remind the lying perpetrators of this hoax about the Eighth Commandment: “Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbor”. For a long time, the Irish were sadly known as “priest-ridden people — under the thumb of a tyrannical ecclesiastical power elite. But now we’ve got a splendid “turn-about is fair play” reversal: at long last, we’re seeing “people-ridden priests — since the people themselves will no longer put up with such arrogant priestly lying and bullying! It’s about time…and then some.

A picture tells a thousand words. thanks, Frank. Now we can add “deceit” to the list of sins our wonderful Church commits.
