You Are Mine: A Catholic LGBTQ+ Faith Sharing Group

Monthly on 2nd Monday at 7pm

We promote and foster holistic spirituality that is inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and grounded in the Catholic moral and social justice tradition. We support the dignity and human rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community, and their family and friends. We provide a safe, caring space to share, support, and grow in our faith and welcome people of all faith traditions.

Ministering within the LGBTQ Community

An online one-credit, one-week course

July 13-16, 2020, 6:00-9:00 PM EST

The course is offered by Boston College School of Theology and Ministry and taught by Dr. Art Canales, Professor of pastoral theology and ministry at Marian University, Indiana.  Course description: An introductory study of sexual minorities in Christian pastoral theology, moral theology, and ministry; especially, in relationship with a particular emphasis on LGBTQ persons in light of the dignity of the human person, the principle of imago Dei, and the struggle to live authentically as a sexual minority in the twenty-first century American culture. Pastoral issues concentrate on compassion, sensitivity, advocacy, support, and pastoral care of the LGBTQ person.

LGBTQ Catholics Unite provides an opportunity for LGBTQ Catholics and friends to gather and openly discuss relevant topics, scripture, and current events. John Stasio will facilitate a discussion on “Revealing the Queer Face of God.” John is the founder of Easton Mountain, a spiritual community, a retreat center, and a sanctuary for queer people.  Our hope is that people will feel supported, heard, and spiritually nourished. All (including allies) are welcome!

Deacon Ray Dever is a devout Catholic, a permanent deacon, a husband, and a father to three daughters.  In several New Ways Ministry blog posts and a U.S. Catholic magazine article, Deacon Dever has written on his experience as a father to a transgender daughter.  The event will include prayer, sharing of experience, and discussion.
