One Body, Many Parts

A podcast from New Ways Ministry examining Catholic LGBTQ+ news, opinion, ministry and spirituality

New Ways Ministry is happy to announce the launching of our first podcast series, One Body, Many Parts, a program which will examine Catholic LGBTQ+ news, opinion, ministry, and spirituality topics. Designed to further New Ways Ministry’s work of building bridges between LGBTQ+ Catholics and their Church, One Body, Many Parts will facilitate conversations between the people and movements–all aiming to  propel the Catholic Church towards greater equity, justice and inclusion for its LGBTQ+ members.

As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ.

The title One Body, Many Parts comes from St. Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians 12: 12-27 its part of New Ways Ministry’s mission statement, and it expresses our ministry’s foundation in Catholic ecclesiology, where the Church is the Mystical Body of Christ, composed of a diversity of members bearing the indelible mark of their baptism and the inherent dignity of image-bearers of God.
