An exciting new volume published this spring examines queer theology in continuity with traditions of liberation theology in the Americas, titled “Mysterium liberationis queer: Ensayos sobre teologías queer de la liberación en las Américas”
These small steps are easy to sneer at as performative or vacuous, and they can be without ongoing learning and change. But more so they are little hints of divine queer futurity, signs of another possible world.
Let’s dream, as Moses did, of that reality we may never see, but that will exist for our children, and our children’s children…
