About New Ways Ministry
Through research, publication and education about homosexuality, we foster dialogue among groups and individuals, identify and combat personal and structural homophobia, work for changes in attitudes and promote the acceptance of gay and lesbian people as full and equal members of church and society.
New Ways Ministry affirms the 1973 professional judgment of the American Psychiatric Association that homosexuality in and of itself is neither a mental or emotional illness. Consequently, we seek to eradicate myths and sterotypes about gay and lesbian persons, support civil and human rights and provide support for families and friends.
